Award winning results!

Indigoleap-Star-Award-Bronze-2020

At IndigoLeap there is nothing we love more than great results, which is why we were delighted to win the Bronze Award for Brand Development at the Marketing Society Star Awards 2020, along with our talented friends 39Steps! The Star awards are the most coveted marketing awards in Scotland and are judged on the effectiveness of results.

We led the planning and strategy for the creation of the new brand for Heriot-Watt University Student Union. The brand needed to better engage the Union’s Generation Z members, visually embody the Union’s core values and deliver a cohesive identity that both staff and students could be proud of.

The new logo design created by 39Steps built on our key audience insights and brand strategy to produce a bold and playful new identity for the Heriot-Watt University Student Union. The team at Heriot-Watt Union, led by Jamie Nutter, not only implemented the brand flawlessly but also focused on measuring the effectiveness of the new design.

This evidenced that the new identity quickly resonated with their Generation Z students building pride in the Union - which led to a large increase in engagement with the Union and also drove new revenue from merchandise sales!

With such strong results for the client, the work was already a winner in our book, but to have the work recognised with a Star award really was the cherry on top for the whole project team!
